ABOUT US

We are an ambitious club with a big heart for our sport. We help our gymnasts to get the most out of themselves and want to develop them on different areas.

We started our club with a clear mission: to get rhythmic gymnastics in the Netherlands to a higher level. We can proudly say that we have succeeded in doing so in recent years. Our gymnasts have been among the top in the Netherlands since 2015 and since that year we have won multiple Dutch titles and medals at the highest level.

In addition, a number of our gymnasts have a FIG status, which allows them to participate in official international competitions representing the Netherlands. For example, one of our gymnasts represented the Netherlands at the European Championships in Budapest in 2024.

 

What is rhythmic gymnastics?

Rhythmic gymnastics is a graceful and elegant sport for girls from 5 years old. This sport is characterized by moving to music with various apparatus, such as rope, hoop, ball, club and ribbon. The youngest gymnasts (up to 12 years) also perform an exercise without apparatus.

In a routine the gymnasts show beautiful jumps, balances and pirouettes with one of the apparatus, combined with dance and acrobatics. These exercises are performed at competitions of the KNGU. Rhythmic gymnastics can be done individually or in a group, depending on the level.
